Comment on this image collection: No bone marrow was obtained from the first specimen. However evaluation of the bone marrow was possible. In this specimen, there are 80% blasts with round nuclei, little cytoplasm, and no granulation. No cytochemical staining was performed. Morphology of the blasts is indicative of an early (acute) lymphocytic leukemia. Correlation with the immunophenotyping results is recommended.
